He trained at the American Academy of Art in Chicago. After some time began his art career specializing in wildlife and landscape artworks. He began working with Lake City-based Wild Wings at its inception. In addition to paintings sold through galleries in New York, New Orleans and Atlanta, he has 14 editions of lithographs and 15 editions of etchings to his credit. He also appears in “Who’s Who of American Wildlife Artists.” Later in life, Caron decided to let go of the solidarity of the art world, and began his one man show in the Rochester Art Center, while teaching painting classes.
